MYLB Academy is headed and founded by Karen Swanston. Karen is fully trained in makeup artistry, styling and image consultancy, and has worked prominently in the bridal industry for many years. In addition, she has also run a wedding planning business. Karen’s love of fashion, bridal and design led her to seek further training in this field. However, although the wedding industry is extremely well established, Karen discovered that there was a gap in the market that wasn’t being catered for yet was being requested by brides, bridal boutique owners and wedding planners. There was therefore an opportunity to create a team that could deliver the services in demand and to provide extensive training courses to those who wish to pursue a career in the lucrative wedding industry, whether to run their own business or as part of the MYLB team.
